What this cable is built for.
Featuring a high-density 144 fiber count, this cable features an innovative, totally dry multi-loose tube architecture designed to streamline installation and clean splicing in backbone trunks. At its core is an expanded Fiber Reinforced Plastic (FRP) central strength member wrapped in a protective PE cushion, supplying exceptional pulling rigidity while remaining completely non-metallic. The 144 single-mode fibers are arranged into twelve distinct PBT loose tubes housing 12 fibers each. To eliminate the cleanup required by traditional flooding compounds, each tube utilizes dry water-blocking yarn internally to cushion the fibers and eliminate attenuation. All twelve tubes are tightly stranded to create a 15.8 mm structural profile.
Optimized for accelerated network deployment, the GYFY-144 relies entirely on dry moisture-control elements, wrapping the core in advanced water-blocking tapes and yarns to guard against water entry. This dry framework yields a significantly lighter weight of 178 kg/km, reducing structural load on containment systems and pulling eyes. The jacket features two integrated ripcords for quick slitting during prep work. The entire cable is protected by a tough, black High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) outer sheath that guarantees top-tier defenses against environmental weathering and mechanical strain.
