What this cable is built for.
Featuring a 48 fiber count, this cable utilizes a multi-loose tube design that provides superior protection against environmental stressors without the use of metallic elements. At the heart of the cable is a Fiber Reinforced Plastic (FRP) central strength member, which provides excellent tensile strength while remaining immune to electromagnetic interference. The 48 fibers are organized into four PBT loose tubes, each containing 12 fibers and a moisture-resistant jelly compound to prevent micro-bending and attenuation. Two natural-colored fillers are stranded alongside the tubes to maintain a perfectly circular cable profile.
Engineered for longevity in harsh environments, the GYFTY48 incorporates dual-layer moisture protection using water-blocking yarns and tape. This dry water-blocking technology ensures the cable core remains protected from water ingress. The entire assembly is encased in a rugged, black High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) outer sheath, offering exceptional resistance to UV radiation and mechanical wear.
