Featuring a 48 fiber count, this all-dielectric self-supporting (ADSS) cable is specifically engineered for aerial campus networks and power-line right-of-way installations without requiring a separate messenger wire. At the core of the cable is a Fiber Reinforced Plastic (FRP) central strength member that delivers reliable structural support while ensuring complete safety near high-voltage electrical fields. The 48 single-mode fibers are distributed across four PBT loose tubes—each packed with 12 fibers and an attenuation-reducing jelly compound—and balanced by two natural-colored structural fillers to achieve an 11.7 mm outer profile.
Built to survive long-term outdoor deployment under heavy environmental loading, this cable features a specialized armor layer composed of high-tensile aramid yarns. This reinforcement layer gives the cable a Maximum Allowable Tension (MAT) of 6.6 kN, specifically optimized for self-supporting spans of up to 244 meters. Moisture protection is handled through a combination of dry water-blocking yarns and tape to prevent water migration. The assembly is encased in a robust, black High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) outer sheath designed to withstand heavy UV exposure, severe winds, and physical abrasion.
